DIGITAL CAMPAIGN FOR BR.COM
What do I know about suits, you ask? A LOT. Especially after asking Banana Republic’s design team just short of 1M questions. A LOT of time, energy, experience and creativity goes into making a suit, even if it isn’t exactly bespoke.
After nailing down the facts: fabrics, fits, fun, (aka details)—I set out to do what I do best. Give easy-to-follow style tips. Yes, I am “qualified” since I did have a short-lived career as a stylist in a past life (read: years before I even knew what a copywriter was). The challenge is taking something that seems simple (I can buy a suit from anywhere), and adding interest and complexity with a side of ease to it. (Side note: Having not styled these looks myself, however, I was tied to what imagery was presented, and that, my friends, is when the magic happens.)
Also, who’s even wearing suits today and how are they wearing them? Your audience/client is everything. You either follow what the people want or set your own path and lead them to it. I prefer to do the latter but am paid to do both. Insert smiley face here.
